## Details

## Overview

Customodoro is a revolutionary productivity tool designed to support the Reverse Pomodoro technique alongside traditional Pomodoro methods. Unlike rigid timers, it provides flexible work sessions with proportional breaks.

## Reverse Pomodoro Approach

Customodoro's implementation of Reverse Pomodoro works by:

- Letting users work as long as they want without forced stops
- Providing breaks proportional to focus duration (e.g., 20 minutes work = 2-minute break, 45 minutes = 10-minute break, 60 minutes = 30-minute break)
- Adapting to natural work rhythms rather than imposing artificial constraints

## Key Features

- **Flexible Work Duration**: No forced stops at arbitrary time limits
- **Proportional Breaks**: Break length scales with focus time invested
- **Traditional Pomodoro Support**: Also works with standard 25/5 minute cycles
- **Customizable Settings**: Users can adjust ratios and preferences
- **Focus Statistics**: Tracks productivity patterns over time

## Target Users

Particularly effective for:

- People with ADHD who find rigid timers overwhelming
- Those with anxiety or chronic health conditions
- Neurodivergent individuals preferring flexible structures
- Anyone who enters flow states that shouldn't be interrupted

## 2026 Context

Customodoro gained traction on Reddit and productivity communities as an alternative to traditional Pomodoro techniques, representing the trend toward more flexible, human-centered time management approaches.
