LifeGraph
A knowledge graph system for organizing and retrieving lifelog data, linking images with metadata and detected concepts to external knowledge bases for comprehensive personal data visualization and retrieval.
About this tool
Overview
LifeGraph is a Knowledge Graph for lifelogging data that was developed for organizing and retrieving lifelog information. It offers a novel approach and organizes the lifelog data by using a graph structure, with images as the centerpoint of the schema.
How It Works
The graph is constructed by linking images with the metadata and detected concepts, then is extended with Wikidata and COEL (Classification of Everyday Living).
Purpose
LifeGraph aims at not only capturing all aspects of the data contained in a lifelog but also linking them to external, static knowledge bases in order to put the log as a whole as well as its individual entries into a broader context.
Research Application
In the Lifelog Search Challenge 2020, researchers showed a first proof-of-concept implementation of LifeGraph as well as a retrieval system prototype which utilizes it to search the log for specific events.
Features
- Graph-based data organization with images at the center
- Metadata and concept linking
- External knowledge base integration (Wikidata, COEL)
- Event search and retrieval capabilities
- Comprehensive context for lifelog entries
Use Case
Primarily used in research contexts for personal data visualization and lifelog analysis, helping users understand patterns and retrieve specific moments from comprehensive life tracking data.
